HO scale 85-foot Smooth-Side Observation Passenger Car, part of the NYC 20th Century Limited Edition, is a detailed model for HO layouts. Recreating the 1938 Manhattan Island service, it features a fully enclosed smooth-side body and a 180-degree rear-view observation area, making it a realistic centerpiece for era-accurate displays. A variant with a lighted interior adds LED illumination for dramatic nighttime operation, while the standard version emphasizes authentic interior detailing.
Authentic ACF passenger car styling, fully furnished interiors, transparent tinted windows, and detailed trucks with see-through sideframes give the model a lifelike presence. The car is equipped with magnetically operated E-Z Mate II couplers for smooth operation on tight curves and blackened RP25 wheels for authentic rolling. Dimensions run about 12.25 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 2 inches high, with best performance on radii of 22 inches or greater.
