Description
HO Scale 40′ Fruehauf Z-Van Intermodal Trailer in The Rock/RIZ livery. This ready-to-run HO trailer recreates the rugged intermodal equipment used on both roads and rails during the 1970s and 1980s. It ships fully assembled and ready to place on a layout, with a highly detailed injection-molded body and realistic rubber tires.
Prototype specifics are reflected in the model: separately applied mud flaps and door rods configured to mirror the chosen variant (two or four rods), plus landing gear offered as wheeled or shoe-style to match the prototype. Fruehauf Z-Van trailers were produced in ribbed-side, beaded-side and smooth-side bodies and typically ran about 40 feet long (with 45-foot extensions seen later). This HO-scale trailer makes authentic intermodal scenes easy to build on layouts, delivering period-accurate detail for road-and-rail dioramas.
