HO scale 85′ TOFC flat car, GN 61007, is a ready-to-run model that reproduces mid-century intermodal service. Designed to haul two 40-foot trailers on Trailer-On-Flat-Car operations, it brings authentic 1960s intermodal action to a layout.
Fully assembled and ready for layout use, the model features detailed trailer hitches, factory-installed wire grab irons, a metal underframe for correct rail height and durable operation, machined RP25 profile 33-inch metal wheels, swing-mount coupler boxes, and McHenry scale knuckle spring couplers for reliable coupling. With a minimum radius of 22 inches, it fits a wide range of track plans. The 85′ TOFC flat car was introduced in the 1960s to carry two 40-foot trailers and became the de facto standard for intermodal service, a heritage captured in this faithful model.
