HO-scale EMD SD38 Locomotive with DCC and Sound, CRGX 602  a ready-to-run diesel model designed to bring authentic freight power to HO layouts. It reproduces the CRGX prototype in a six-axle package, featuring front and rear ditch lights, a K5LA horn on a bracket, a two-stack exhaust, front and rear snowplows, and cab air conditioning. Sound-equipped with onboard Econami sound and a DCC-ready 21-pin NEM plug, it runs on DC or DCC and includes LED headlights and beacons where applicable to the prototype.
For performance, the model combines a heavy die-cast frame with a 5-pole motor, precision flywheels, and a multi-link drive for smooth, quiet operation. RP25-contoured wheels ensure reliable pickup on common HO track, while fine details like see-through cab windows, see-through dynamic brake and radiator fans, separately applied grab irons, air tanks, and a detailed fuel tank enhance realism. It ships fully assembled and decorated, with McHenry scale knuckle couplers and a realistic paint job. Designed for an 18-inch minimum radius (22 inches recommended), it supports full DCC function control and CV-adjustable settings to tune performance and lighting for your layout.
