Description
HO SD60E Locomotive NS 6986 is an HO-scale Norfolk Southern SD60E model built to faithfully reproduce road number 6986 with prototype-accurate detail. Notable features include a 4,500-gallon fuel tank and walkway guards with rectangular cut-outs, plus lit number boards for realistic visibility on layout operations.
This model delivers solid, quiet performance with a heavy die-cast frame and all-wheel drive, along with LED lighting, see-through cab windows, and scale-accurate handrails for an authentic look. DCC-ready versions use Quick Plug 21-pin wiring and can accommodate onboard SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound with dual speakers; some editions are offered in Legendary Liveries with iconic NS paint schemes. For best results on HO layouts, minimum radius is 18 inches (22 inches recommended).
