Description
An HO-scale six-car set recreating Magor’s 54-foot flatcar, a U.S. Army freight car designed to haul tanks and other heavy military equipment during the Korean War. Based on Magor Car Corporation’s original designs, these cars feature a simulated wood deck, a heavy steel frame, and Buckeye 3-axle trucks, with metal knuckle couplers and wire grab irons for authentic operation on HO layouts. The set is offered in an early DODX repaint for period-accurate appearance.
Developed from original blueprints and period references, the model captures the car’s proportions and underframe details, including piping and equipment. Designed for HO-scale layouts, it pairs with other Magor-era rolling stock to recreate mid-century freight service, letting hobbyists convincingly move tanks, vehicles, and heavy gear across the rails with reliable performance and realistic detail.
