HO-scale Gunderson Maxi-Stack II Well Cars in the DTTX Trailer Train scheme are intermodal freight cars designed to haul stacked shipping containers on HO layouts. The Maxi-Stack II configuration features end wells for 40-foot containers and three longer intermediate wells that can carry 48-foot containers, with reinforced end wells that also accommodate 20-foot containers, delivering a flexible, high-capacity solution for intermodal operations.
On the model, heavy cast metal frames provide durability, etched stainless-steel walkway platforms add realism, and brake and trainline details are applied separately. Bent-wire grab irons, animated roller bearings on the 70- and 125-ton trucks, and rubber inter-car trainline hoses further enhance realism.
