Description
An HO-scale two-bay PS-2 covered hopper model based on Pullman-Standard’s 1950s design, built for transporting dry bulk loads such as grain, sand, and clay. The weatherproof fixed roof features loading openings and bottom outlets for unloading, with a capacity of 2003 cubic feet, and it arrives in prototypical WAB livery to reflect the era’s paint schemes.
Detail features include photo-etched roof walks, machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, and weighting tuned for steady operation. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers provide authentic handling, while the injection-molded body is painted and printed for realistic decoration. Designed for HO layouts, it requires a minimum 18-inch radius to run smoothly alongside other era-appropriate cars in a bulk freight train.
