Description
HO GP9 Phase II locomotive in CNW livery, road number 1737. This fully assembled, ready-to-run HO-scale model captures the look of the late-1950s GP9 Phase II switcher, delivering dependable performance and authentic detail for everyday yard work and mainline running on an HO layout.
Prototype-specific details include a full cab interior, see-through cab windows, wire grab irons, etched radiator and fan grilles, and Blomberg-B trucks, all mounted on a heavy die-cast frame for traction and durability. It rides on RP25-contoured wheels and features constant LED lighting for a realistic, era-appropriate appearance. The design is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology and a 21-pin NEM connector for straightforward digital control. Sound-equipped variants add onboard DCC decoding with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, dual speakers, and full DCC functionality, while remaining operable on DC for layout flexibility.
