Description
This HO-scale Alco RS-3 locomotive, finished in Canadian National black livery with road number 3040, is a DCC/Sound-equipped model designed for realistic operation on HO layouts.
Bowser’s plastic RS-3 captures the RS-3’s varied CN configurations, including Canadian-specific versions and Phase III styling, with a host of fine details such as air hoses, windshield wipers, grab irons, and coupler lift bars, plus an operating headlight, window glass, and road-name specific fuel tanks. It rides on nickel-silver wheels with RP25 flanges and knuckle couplers and uses a can motor with flywheels for smooth pulling power. The model is offered in two electronics configurations: an analog DC version that includes a 21-pin socket for DCC upgrades, and a DCC/Sound version that uses a LokSound Select decoder for authentic engine sound and performance.
