Description

This HO-scale GE 44-Tonner Switcher Locomotive in NH Warm Orange is a detailed, ready-to-run model from Rapido Trains designed for light switching, industrial yards, and shop work. The DCC-equipped version includes sound, while DC models are DCC-ready with a decoder socket for optional digital control.

Available in multiple detail levels that mirror the locomotive’s phases—Phase Ic (with or without lighted hood side number boards), Phase III with positionable top hood hatches, and Phase IV—the model features a heavy die-cast chassis and fuel tank, two fuel-tank skirt styles, and separately-applied door latches. Inside, there’s a full cab interior and photo-etched cab steps. A smooth-running coreless motor with dual flywheels powers the model; the DCC version includes an ESU decoder with sound and a Mo-Power power capacitor for steady performance on busy layouts. DC models are ready for decoder installation.
