Description
The HOn30 Narrow Gauge Talyllyn Railway Carriage 2 is a model based on the historic carriages utilized on the Talyllyn Railway, which is located in Wales. Constructed in the 1860s by Brown, Marshalls & Co of Birmingham, this model reflects the original design, featuring an open interior and compartmentalized seating arrangements for passengers corresponding to each door. The carriage remains a part of the living history of the Talyllyn Railway and, along with its counterparts, continues to operate today, providing a unique insight into classic railway design and functionality.
While Carriage 2 itself is not officially named, it, along with Carriage 1 and Carriage 4, contributes to preserving the legacy of narrow-gauge rail transport in the region. Carriage 4, delivered by the Lancaster Wagon Co. in 1867, is affectionately known as ‘Lulu’ among the railway staff, illustrating the rich heritage surrounding these vehicles.
