Description
Rock Island Light 2-8-2 Mikado HO Locomotive is a DCC-ready model in Bachmann’s USRA Mikado lineup, faithfully reproducing the classic 2-8-2 freight locomotive used by the Rock Island on HO-scale layouts. It includes a factory-installed 8-pin socket for easy installation of a DCC decoder, allowing hobbyists to tailor their control setup.
Designed for HO layouts, this USRA Light Mikado delivers an iconic silhouette and wheel arrangement for freight service. It performs best on 18-inch radius curves or larger, making it a solid centerpiece for Rock Island operations on layouts with wider curves.
