HO-scale SD70M-2 locomotive in New Brunswick Southern Railway (NBSR) livery, fully assembled and ready to run on HO layouts. This model delivers a faithful, operating-focused replica of the prototype, designed to bring authentic diesel power and presence to a hobbyist’s railroad setup.
Powered by a Genesis driveline with a 5-pole motor, precision flywheels, and a multi-link drivetrain, it rides on a sturdy heavy die-cast frame for solid traction. Fine-scale details include see-through cab windows and a full interior, etched steps, lift rings, LED lighting, and lit number boards. The model is DCC-ready with a Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector, and sound-equipped variants add an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and dual speakers for realistic horn and engine effects. It features RP25 wheels, body-mounted McHenry knuckle couplers, and is designed for HO layouts with an 18-inch minimum radius (22 inches recommended) for best performance.
