Description
This HO-scale PS-2 2003 2-Bay Covered Hopper Car, in Florida East Coast markings with car number 14103, reproduces a classic 1950s PS-2 design used for dry bulk freight on HO layouts.
Equipped with photo-etched roof walks, machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, and a weighted chassis for steady operation, the model also features body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers and a highly detailed injection-molded body painted and printed for realistic decoration in prototypical schemes. It can operate on HO layouts with a minimum 18-inch radius and reflects the PS-2’s 2003-cubic-foot capacityâ€â€a design that made this car one of the first and most prolific PS-2 configurations for loading and unloading dry bulk loads like grain, sand, or clay while keeping the contents weather-protected.
