Description
Stewart 4656 HO Scale Baldwin VO-660 Phase II Pennsylvania PRR 5942 Kit
New Old Stock
Baldwin’s VO-660 was first introduced in 1940. And while it bore a similar appearance to the VO-100, the VO-660 was approximately three feet shorter in length. The first VO-660 was ordered by the Northern Pacific Railroad, and had an oval grill (not manufactured by Stewart Hobbies). The first unit with the more common, angled front was the EJ&E 271, built in March, 1941. Approximately 130 VO-660’s were produced by Baldwin, with the angled front, when production ended with Kansas City Southern’s 1150 in May, 1946.
