Description
HO-scale UTC 33K LPG Tank Car, Late CBTX configuration, is a meticulously detailed model designed for realistic LPG transport on HO layouts. It offers multiple road numbers for fleet variety and includes three body phasesâ€â€early, flat panel, and lateâ€â€to reflect evolving equipment across eras.
Packed with scale detailing, the car features separately applied walkway platforms, manways, outlets, ladders, brake rigging, safety rail supports, and tank saddles, plus photo-etched walkways and end platforms, wire safety rails, and printed placards. It rides on 100-ton trucks with animated bearing caps, uses machined RP25 wheels, and includes body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers along with full underframe detail and an injection-molded body. Weighted for smooth operation and compatible with minimum 18-inch radius curves, it is primed for grime with faded base colors matched to prototype, making it an ideal starting point for weathering grime and rust to taste.
