HO-scale Southern Railway SW1500 switcher locomotive, numbered 75H, is a detailed ready-to-run model that captures the compact 1,500-horsepower diesel used for yard and industrial switching. It’s an ideal centerpiece for authentic switching on yards, sidings, and industrial scenes on a model railroad.
Built with an injection-molded body, the model features LED ground lights, a detailed cab interior, finely crafted handrails, a see-through radiator grille and cab windows, and separately applied grab irons. It rides on RP25 wheels with all-wheel drive and electrical pickup for smooth, quiet operation, and offers DCC-ready variants with a 21-pin NEM connector for quick decoder installs; sound-equipped versions include onboard DCC with SoundTraxx Economi sound and a single speaker, operable in both DC and DCC modes with CV-based adjustments (CV chart included). The layout-friendly design supports an 18-inch minimum-radius curve, helping to ensure reliable operation in tight spaces and yards.
