HO-scale Siemens ACS-64 Amtrak Electric Locomotive  available in two liveries, David L. Gunn (600) and Phase III Heritage (662)  is a modern Amtrak traction model designed for HO layouts. Based on Amtrak’s City Sprinters, it captures the locomotive’s sleek styling and high-speed power, including regenerative braking and top speeds associated with the class. The two late-2022 paint schemes let layout owners mirror current branding on the Northeast Corridor fleet, making it a striking centerpiece for mainline runs or yard scenes.
On the tech side, this model is ready for advanced digital control. It’s DCC-equipped with sound, offers full lighting control with fully remappable functions (including ditch lights and dimming headlights), and includes a Keep-Alive device to ride through minor power interruptions. A Voice-guided Audio Assist tool helps set up the decoder, while a dual-mode NMRA decoder ensures broad compatibility. The locomotive rides on a die-cast frame for durability, and a selector switch enables rail or pantograph operation, with magnetically operated E-Z Mate Mark II couplers for easy, reliable coupling to cars and fellow locomotives.
