Description
HO-scale SD70ACe Locomotive – Kansas City Southern 4143 is a ready-to-run model designed for HO layouts. Dressed in the late-2013 Southern Belle scheme, it captures the locomotive’s distinctive look with a nose-mounted headlight, lit number boards, and truck lights for authentic day and night operation.
Inside, a robust Genesis driveline with eight-wheel drive and a heavy die-cast frame provides steady pulling power and quiet operation. Realistic details include flexible trainline and MU hoses, etched see-through steps, lift rings, and a full cab interior visible through see-through windows, plus LED lighting and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers. The model is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology and a 21-pin NEM connector, designed for HO-track layouts with an 18-inch minimum radius (22 inches recommended). Sound-equipped variants add onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2, dual cube speakers, and full DCC functionality, with CVs available to tailor performance.
