HO Scale Pacific Harbor Line SD40 Locomotive  Unit 65 is a detailed model of the Pacific Harbor Line’s harbor freight locomotive, reproduced from MPI MP20C-3 units built on EMD SD40 cores. It’s designed for HO-scale layouts and display, letting modelers recreate the look and feel of the real-world shunter fleet in a ready-to-run package.
It features PHL-specific details such as a dual roof beacon (flashing in DCC), whip antenna, MU hoses, and an air conditioner, along with SD40-era refinements like bi-directional LED lighting, see-through cab and radiator openings, fine handrails, and a detailed fuel tank. The model rides on Flexicoil-C trucks with RP25-contoured wheels and McHenry scale knuckle couplers for smooth operation, and is offered in DCC-ready form or as a Tsunami2 sound-equipped version for authentic engine and horn sounds. Fully assembled and ready to run on HO track, it’s built for reliable performance on typical layouts, with a minimum radius of 18 inches and a 22-inch radius recommended for best results.
