This HO-scale five-bay rapid-discharge hopper reproduces the HLMX sugar beet service car, a bulk-car used in unit-train sugar-beet shipments.
Designed for HO layouts, this model features a highly detailed injection-molded body with a removable load and accurate paint and printing for prototypical realism. It includes body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers and is weighted for smooth, reliable operation. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours ensure smooth running on most HO track, with a minimum radius of 18 inches. Fully assembled and ready to run, the car reflects the unit-train concept used to streamline bulk unloading and adds authentic, hands-on operation to any layout.
