Description
An HO scale 5241-cubic-foot boxcar finished in BKTY Brown, this model faithfully recreates the Berlin Mills boxcar design from the late Incentive Pier Die M era. The fleet is notable for its distinctive flat roof and large end ribs, and BKTY-marked cars were widespread in pulp and paper service across the country with occasional appearances in beer shipments from Mexico. The release includes multiple road numbers to help builders assemble a varied, realistic roster.
Built for HO layouts, the model features authentic paint and decoration, three door styles, and full underbody detail, along with separate wire grab irons. It rolls on free-rolling trucks with turned metal wheels and uses Rapido semi-scale metal couplers for smooth operation, making it a reliable, visually faithful addition to any pulp-and-paper or general freight scene.
