HO PA-1 Locomotive with DCC & Sound in the MKT 151A scheme is a precise HO-scale replica of the Alco PA-1 diesel, designed to deliver authentic power and sound on a model railroad. This ready-to-run locomotive blends classic styling with modern DCC and onboard sound to bring a believable, operable locomotive to life on your layout.
It uses 3D-scanned nose and roof profiles for accurate geometry and road-name specific detailing, with options for A units or AB sets. The model features full underbody piping and conduit, separately installed grab irons and handrails, etched metal grilles, lit number boards, and a full cab interior, plus an operating Gyralite or red Mars light where appropriate. Power choices include DC Silent (21-pin DCC Ready) or DC/DCC/Sound, driven by Rapido’s proven drive system and an ESU LokSound V5 decoder for authentic sound and smooth operation.
