Description
HO-scale PA-1 Locomotive in Santa Fe livery reproduces the Alco PA/PB class as repowered in 1954 with 567C engines, delivering about 1,750 horsepower in service. The model features 3D-scanned nose and roof profiles and a wealth of road-name–specific detailing, providing an authentic centerpiece for late-era Santa Fe layouts.
Attention to detail extends from the full cab interior and lit number boards to factory-installed grab irons, etched grilles, and full underbody piping. It’s offered in A-unit and AB configurations with either dynamic or non-dynamic braking, and supports DC Silent or DC/DCC with sound options (21-pin DCC-ready) powered by an ESU LokSound V5 decoder. Built on a proven drive system, the locomotive delivers smooth operation on real-world layouts and can include era-appropriate features such as a roof blister, EMD-style fans, and an operating Gyralite or red Mars light where appropriate.
