HO Maxi-III Intermodal Well Car Set is a five-car HO-scale model that reproduces modern double-stack freight cars used in intermodal service. The well design sits between the wheel trucks, allowing intermodal containers to ride lower and enabling two-high stacks where track clearance permits.
Each car features prototypically correct 33-inch and 38-inch solid nickel-silver wheelsets with RP25 contours, is weighted for steady operation, and uses body-mounted scale knuckle couplers for reliable coupling. The highly detailed injection-molded bodies are painted and printed for realistic decoration, and the set is designed for HO layouts with an 18-inch minimum radius, delivering authentic appearance and dependable performance when running intermodal trains.
