Description
HO ICC CA-9 Caboose with Lights in Western Pacific livery is a detailed HO-scale model designed to cap the end of a freight train with authentic caboose detail and illumination. It features LED interior lighting and an on-board DCC decoder that operates in both DCC and analog layouts, with lighting controllable in DCC. The Western Pacific version mirrors the late-1960s appearance in the brown scheme, complete with an ACI plate, and the roster can include multiple road numbers. For added realism, sound-equipped variants offer authentic caboose sounds when paired with the appropriate decoder.
Fully assembled and ready to run, this model includes see-through end platforms and steps, interior seating for crew figures, and full underframe detail. It rides on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and uses body-mounted, scale knuckle-spring couplers for smooth operation. It is weighted for stable performance on standard tracks and requires a minimum 18-inch radius. Legendary Liveries provide iconic paint schemes for proto-freelance or historical rosters, and the onboard electronics support NMRA DCC standards so lighting and other functions perform consistently on DC or DCC layouts.
