HO-scale GE 44-Tonner Switcher with DCC and sound in Santa Fe Zebra Stripe is a compact diesel designed for light switching and industrial work on HO layouts. It captures the nimble performance and economical operation that made the 44-tonner a staple for yards, shops, and shortline service.
Multiple detail variations are represented, including Phase Ic with or without lighted hood-side number boards, Phase III with positionable top hood hatches, and Phase IV. The model rides on a heavy die-cast chassis and fuel tank, with two styles of fuel-tank skirting, separately-applied door latches, a full cab interior, and photo-etched cab steps for authentic realism. A smooth-running coreless motor with dual flywheels provides steady power, and DC versions are DCC-ready with a decoder and speaker socket, while DCC-equipped versions come with sound using ESU decoders and sounds and include a Mo-Power power capacitor.
