Description
An HO-scale model of Union Pacific’s Phase I SD90MAC-H locomotive, faithfully reproduced in UP livery for realistic operation on HO layouts. The Phase I SD90MAC-Hs were delivered in the late 1990s as UP’s second and third orders, later renumbered to a subsequent series.
Designed to mirror the Phase I UP fleet, this model captures the distinctive profile and detailing of that era. Across the 8500-series, some units carried minor variations such as an End-of-Train device mounted forward on the fuel tank or the removal of a starter capacitor. This release provides a faithful representation of that period, making it a solid centerpiece for a late-1990s Union Pacific roster on an HO layout.
