HO-scale F89F intermodal trailer-on-flatcar set in TTX brown, recreating the classic Trailer Train configuration used for trailer-on-flatcar service. This decorated, ready-to-run model pairs a detailed flatcar with a 40-foot Z-VAN reefer trailer, delivering an authentic intermodal look for HO layouts and dioramas straight out of the box.
Designed for reliable, realistic operation, the set features a heavy die-cast underframe, 70-ton roller bearing trucks with animated bearing caps, machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers for authentic handling. It includes wire-formed brake plumbing, separately applied brake details, and a highly detailed deck to capture the era’s look. The Z-VAN reefer trailer adds period-accurate touchesâ€â€mud flaps, rubber tires, landing gear options (wheeled or shoe-style per prototype), door rods, and faithful paint and printingâ€â€creating a vivid, ready-to-run intermodal scene.
