Description
HO-scale F7A diesel locomotive in Santa Fe’s Warbonnet livery, road number 38C, capturing the look and character of the late-1940s EMD F7A for HO model railroads. This ready-to-run model is designed for recreating mid-century freight or passenger service on modern layouts, delivering the bold presence of the Warbonnet era.
Built on a revised frame with a heavy die-cast weight for stable running, it supports 21-pin DCC decoders, features revised shell-to-chassis mounting for easier servicing and possible kit-bashing, and provides two rear mounting locations for close-coupling on tight curves. It ships fully assembled and decorated in Santa Fe Warbonnet, with flush-fitting glass, separately applied horns, McHenry scale knuckle couplers, all-wheel drive, a 5-pole motor, and RP25-wheel contours for smooth operation on HO track. The model has a minimum radius of 18 inches, making it compatible with a wide range of HO layouts.
