Description
HO-scale EMD SD45 Locomotive in Conrail blue, number 6120, is equipped with Paragon4 Sound and Control for authentic operation on modern model railroads. The model recreates the SD45’s 645E3 20‑cylinder engine and 3,600 horsepower, enhanced by road-specific detailing and lighting to mirror Conrail’s distinctive look, while Paragon4 delivers real‑world sound with Rolling Thunder and a dual‑mode decoder with Back EMF for smooth performance in both DC and DCCâ€â€all powered by integral GoPack capacitor packs.
Built for robust model railroading, this locomotive features an ABS body with a die‑cast chassis for maximum tractive effort and all‑wheel electrical pickup. It includes metal, Kadee‑compatible couplers, extensive separately applied details (handrails, grab irons, horn, bell, wipers, etched grills), and prototypical lighting and sounds calibrated to the Conrail scheme. Painted to exacting standards with road‑number accuracy, it operates on Code 70, Code 83, and Code 100 track and handles minimum radii of 18 inches, making it ideal for mainline runs or display on any HO layout.
