Description
HO-scale EMD SD39 locomotive with DCC and Sound in Southern Pacific livery, road number 5309. This ready-to-run HO model is designed for HO layouts, delivering authentic diesel operation with DCC control and onboard sound for added realism.
A heavy die-cast frame and a 5-pole motor give the model solid pulling power and smooth performance, while fine-scale handrails, see-through cab windows, and separately applied details such as air tanks and fuel tanks add to the prototype look. The SP version features a front and rear light package with Gyralights, LED headlights and ditch lights, plus a cab roof-mounted bell; it rides on RP25 wheels and uses McHenry scale-knuckle couplers for reliable operation on common HO track. DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM plug, it can accommodate sound decoders, and sound-equipped versions come with onboard Econami Sound by SoundTraxx for engine, horn, and bell sounds with strong slow-speed control. Fully decorated and ready to roll, this model is designed for HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended).
