HO-scale EMD GP30 diesel locomotive in Norfolk & Western livery, road number 525, with Paragon4 sound and control featuring Rolling Thunder. This as-delivered model is designed to deliver authentic GP30 performance on HO layouts, with prototypical lighting and realistic sound that bring the prototype to life.
Built for faithful HO-scale operation, it uses a die-cast chassis and ABS shell for durability and strong tractive effort, and includes Paragon4 with Rolling Thunder plus an integral GoPack capacitor pack for smooth performance. The dual-mode decoder with Back EMF enables precise slow-speed control on both DC and DCC, and the model features all-wheel electrical pickup, prototypical road-numbering and paint, plus numerous separately applied details and metal Kadee-compatible couplers. It runs on Code 70, 83, and 100 rails with an 18-inch minimum radius, and road-specific touches such as truck sideframes, dynamic brake hatch, roof fan arrangement, and long and short hood detailing enhance realism for Norfolk & Western 525.
