HO-Scale UTLX Black Cryogenic Tank Cars are a two-car set designed to depict the transportation of cryogenic liquids. Accurately scaled from prototype blueprints with prototypical paint and lettering, these cars reproduce the distinctive long tanks used for liquids such as oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, making them a realistic addition to a yard or mainline scene.
The set features two roof walkway options and two truck stylesâ€â€friction bearing and roller bearingâ€â€along with numerous separately applied details like handrails, ladders, and brake hardware. Metal wheelsets meet NMRA RP-25 standards and, with Kadee-compatible knuckle couplers, provide reliable coupling. Suitable for Code 70, 83, and 100 rail, these cars require a minimum 18-inch radius for smooth operation, and the two cars are uniquely numbered to enhance layout realism.
