HO-scale Chicago and North Western 4-6-2 “Yellow Jacket” Locomotive with Paragon4 Sound brings the Pacific steam locomotive to life on a model railroad. Recreating the 1942, 1944, and 1952 appearances and including two fantasy liveries for Seaboard Air Line and Chicago and Eastern Illinois, this highly detailed model combines a hand-crafted brass boiler, cab, and tender with a heavy die-cast chassis for authentic weight and rugged pulling power.
Designed for DC and DCC layouts, it features Paragon4 sound with synchronized puffing smoke and chuff, plus variable puffing intensity. The decoder includes Back-EMF for smooth slow-speed operation, and a five-pole can motor with skew-wound armature delivers steady pulling power, aided by rubber traction tires. Lighting includes a separately controllable headlight, number-board lights, and cab light, while factory figures and many hand-applied detailsâ€â€handrails, ladders, piping, a brass bell, and moreâ€â€enhance realism. A minimum 18-inch radius is recommended, making it compatible with a wide range of layouts and a standout centerpiece for any HO-scale setup.
