Description
This HO-scale Union Pacific Bay Window Caboose is a finely detailed end-of-train model designed to add realism to freight consists. The distinctive bay-window design, a hallmark of coal-hauling and top-loaded unit trains, evokes the caboose’s traditional role as shelter for crew and as a lookout for load shifts and other train issues.
Among its features are fine end handrails and ladders, clear windows, and authentic caboose trucks, plus separately applied smoke jack and brake wheel. It uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers for authentic, reliable coupling, and is weighted for smooth tracking on the rails. Machined metal RP25-contoured wheels ride on a highly detailed injection-molded body that’s painted and printed for realistic decoration, and the design supports a minimum 18-inch curve radius to fit a wide range of HO layouts and dioramas.
