HO-scale ACF 4600 Center Flow Covered Hopper, undecorated Phase I low brake, is a plastic model that reproduces American Car and Foundry’s classic three-bay Center Flow hopper. Intended for HO layouts, it provides a realistic platform for detailing, weathering, and painting to match prototype grain-service cars on freight trains.
Details reflect the era with early, mid, and late variants, including options like round or trough hatches, a photo-etched roofwalk, and separately applied grab irons, steps, and brake wheel. The kit includes a separate brake cylinder, valve and air reservoir with wire brake plumbing, screw-mounted trucks, and body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers, plus weight for smooth operation. It rides on Genesis 100-ton trucks with 36-inch machined metal wheels and animated spinning roller bearing caps, and is accurately painted and printed.
