Description
An HO-scale 60-foot high-cube, double-door Gunderson boxcar in Kansas City Southern livery, road number 759007, this model reproduces a modern freight car used on today’s rails. Recreating a Gunderson-built boxcar that carries a wide range of loadsâ€â€from auto parts to forest productsâ€â€it’s well-suited for adding realism to yards and mainline scenes on an HO layout.
Detail features include separately applied wire grab irons and etched end platforms, body-mounted scale knuckle couplers, and crisp paint and printing. The car is weighted for smooth operation, rides on 36-inch metal wheels with RP25 contours, and is designed for HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended) for reliable running. It’s primed for grime, offering a faithful starting point for weathering to recreate an in-service appearance with faded base colors and room to add rust and wear.
