An HO-scale FMC smooth-side double-door 60-foot boxcar, this model reproduces a modern 100-ton freight car designed to haul a wide range of loads on today’s rail networks. It adds realistic mainline traffic and yard activity to HO layouts, giving a credible, contemporary freight-car presence to the scene.
Details include dual eight-foot Youngstown doors, separately applied grab irons, end ladders, and a brake wheel, plus a photo-etch cross-over platform for accurate coupler alignment. The model rides on 100-ton roller-bearing trucks with 36-inch machined metal wheels in RP25 contours and uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. The injection-molded body is painted and printed for lifelike decoration, and it’s weighted for smooth, reliable running. Designed for HO layouts with curves down to 18 inches in radius, it’s ready to join modern freight trains.
