Description
This HO-scale H16-44 diesel locomotive in Milwaukee Road orange and black, numbered 435, brings the Phase III Fairbanks Morse design to HO layouts, delivering an authentic mid‑century road-switcher for model railroading.
Road-name specific detailing includes hood doors and handrails, factory-installed grab irons, and a choice of dynamic and non-dynamic carbody styles. It features full underbody piping and conduits, lit number boards, headlights and class lights, and is offered with DC-only, DC/DCC-ready (21-pin), or DC/DCC/Sound configurations. Prototypical trucks (Dofasco or Fairbanks Morse), steam generators where appropriate, and road-name–specific fuel tanks enhance realism, while Rapido’s drive system (adapted from the FA-2) and Macdonald Cartier magnetic couplers set at the correct height ensure smooth, reliable operation.
