HO-scale Alco PA-1 Locomotive NH 0776 is a detailed second-run release that recreates the iconic ALCO PA/PB locomotive for HO layouts and display. It’s designed for model railroaders and collectors seeking an authentic silhouette, precise road-numbering, and era-appropriate detailing that bring prototypical scenes to life.
Prototype-accurate features include 3D-scanned nose and roof profiles and road-name specific detailing. For re-powered units, the model captures a distinctive roof blister and EMD-style fans. Configurations include A units or A-B sets, with dynamic or non-dynamic brake options where appropriate, and a full underbody of piping and conduit. Factory-installed grab irons and handrails, etched-metal grilles, lit number boards, and a full cab interior add to the realism, while an operating Gyralite or red Mars light appears where applicable. The drive system is Rapido’s proven design, with DC Silent (21-pin DCC Ready) or DC/DCC/Sound options, including an ESU LokSound V5 decoder.
