Description
HO-scale Magor 54-foot Flatcar in the DODX Late Scheme is a faithful model of a 1950s U.S. Army flatcar designed to haul heavy military hardware across the railroad network. The 54-foot deck sits on a sturdy steel underframe and was built to carry substantial loadsâ€â€up to about 100 tonsâ€â€with an empty weight around 36 tons. The model captures the era’s look with a simulated wood deck, fully detailed underframe, correct Buckeye 3-axle trucks, metal knuckle couplers, and wire grab irons and stirrups.
Drawn from original blueprints and drawings, this HO-scale reproduction emphasizes authentic detailing and proportions for HO layouts. It’s ideal for historical displays, dioramas, or operation on a layout, pairing with tanks or other military equipment to recreate Korean War freight movements and provide a visually authentic centerpiece for a war-era scene.
