The HO-scale GE 44-Tonner Switcher with DCC & Sound in Boston & Maine’s Minuteman 114 is a compact diesel designed for light yard work and industrial switching on HO layouts. Its small footprint makes tight-siding maneuvers easy, while authentic DCC sound enhances every move for a more realistic operating session.
Built on a heavy die-cast chassis and fuel tank for solid, lifelike weight, it includes a full cab interior, photo-etched cab steps, and a smooth dual-flywheel drive for reliable performance. The DCC-equipped model ships with ESU sound decoders and factory sounds and a Mo-Power capacitor to smooth power delivery. Variations across Phase Ic (with or without lighted hood-side number boards), Phase III with positionable top hood hatches, and Phase IV replicate multiple hardware configurations, and detail extras such as two fuel-tank skirt styles and separately-applied door latches add to the realism.
