This HO scale F40PHM-2 Locomotive in Metra Blue brings Chicago’s iconic commuter engine to HO-scale layouts. It is designed for DC operation, with a sound-equipped variant available that can run on DC or DCC layouts, delivering authentic power and presence to a commuter-era scene.
Details include a Winnebago-style front, dual rooftop air conditioners, etched radiator grills and dynamic brake grills, plus a full cab interior and accurate fuel tank and exhaust. Lighting and detail features include working headlights, marker lights and a backup light, a Gyralite, Stratolite or strobe lighting where appropriate, and working ditch lights, with factory-applied wire grab irons and PTC antenna arrays.
