Description
HO-scale F7A Locomotive in CPR livery, road number 1418, is a ready-to-run diesel that brings authentic EMD power and classic styling to HO-scale layouts.
Its tooling reflects the EMD F7A Phase I Early version, featuring a new body, a heavy die-cast frame for stable weight, and room for 21-pin DCC decoders. The revised body-to-chassis mounting eases disassembly and supports kit-bashing into de-skirted variants. A rear coupler mounting box with two positions accommodates close-coupling or smoother operation on tight curves. Realistic touches include flush-fitting cab, porthole, and rear window glass, plus separately-applied horns and McHenry scale knuckle couplers. All-wheel drive with a precision geared drive and a five-pole motor with flywheels delivers smooth, quiet performance, while RP25-contoured wheels ensure reliable operation on most HO track brands. Fully assembled and ready to run, it arrives painted and decorated for realism, with a minimum radius of 18 inches.
