Under the hood, newer versions use a more powerful, quieter can motor, and digital hobbyists can opt for DCC-ready models with a 21-pin plug, while sound-equipped editions feature a Tsunami2 decoder with a cube speaker for authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds. The model also includes metal grab irons, fine handrails, see-through cab windows and radiator fan, McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible), RP25 wheels for reliable track interaction, and LED lighting for long life. It’s designed for smooth operation on standard HO layouts with an 18-inch minimum radius, and the injection-molded body is painted and printed to maximize realism.
