HO-scale 53-foot refrigerated trailer for intermodal layouts. This detailed model recreates a refrigerated trailer used in trailer-on-flatcar (TOFC) service, ideal for HO-scale intermodal trains and yard scenes. It can be used by itself on a layout or paired with ATHEARN’s 57-foot Trinity 3-Unit Spine Car to form realistic intermodal consists.
Fully assembled and ready to run, the trailer arrives painted and printed for lifelike decoration. It features a highly detailed injection-molded body, separately applied mud flaps, rubber tires, and a spare tire rack. Prototype fidelity is enhanced by three different fuel-tank sizes, and some trailers include etched metal aerodynamic wings for added realism. This trailer makes a solid addition to any HO-scale fleet and is an easy way to recreate contemporary intermodal operations on a layout.
