HO scale EMD GP30 Locomotive in SAL livery with road number 504, finished in Pullman Green with yellow and orange trim. This HO model captures the GP30’s updated body styling, including the hump on the roof and taller silhouette that accommodated modern systems. As part of the Stealth Series, it is DCC-ready with no factory sound, and includes an 8-ohm speaker pre-installed to simplify adding a sound decoder later. Out of the box, front and rear lights are directional, while other lighting functions activate with track power.
Prototypically accurate paint schemes and road numbers are paired with extensive detailingâ€â€handrails, grab irons, horns, bells, wipers, and etched grillsâ€â€on an ABS body with a die-cast chassis for maximum tractive effort. It ships with two metal Kadee-compatible couplers and will operate on Code 70, Code 83, and Code 100 rail. The model uses a precision drive mechanism for heavy towing and smooth slow-speed operation, with all-wheel electrical pickup and a minimum operating radius of 18 inches for reliable performance on typical HO layouts.
