Description
HO-scale GE ES44AC Locomotive with DCC and Sound in Canadian National livery, designed to reproduce the power and presence of a modern six-axle freight locomotive on an HO layout. These 4400 HP locomotives, built by General Electric between 2002 and 2019, power freight trains across North American Class I railroads, and this model brings that performance to the layout with authentic detailing and lighting.
Equipped with Paragon4 sound and control featuring Rolling Thunder and a dual-mode decoder with Back EMF for superb slow-speed operation in both DC and DCC, the locomotive delivers lifelike performance. An integral GoPack capacitor pack helps maintain consistent power to lights and sound, while all-wheel electrical pickup and a die-cast chassis provide strong pulling power and smooth operation. Separately applied details such as handrails, grab irons, horns, bells, wipers, and etched grills, along with two metal Kadee-compatible couplers, add to the realism. Prototypically accurate paint schemes and road numbers, plus authentic lighting for each scheme, complete the package for HO enthusiasts building modern-era freight fleets and running on Code 70, 83, and 100 rails.
